Beautiful Day

It is just one of those days that you wake up knowing its going to be a great day. The sun is doing its sunshine thing and there's a slight breeze, the kids get to run around, I can take them on a walk, and its awesome! Today is a good day. Thought everyone should know and join in on this good day I am having. Won't you join me?

My Training

Yesterday was my first Lab for Nurse Aide Training. We practiced hand washing, fearing up for isolation, walking the resident, using our gait belt, transferring to a wheelchair, and lift them up in bed with a sheet. This all at first seem to be a quite lengthy process, you have to introduce yourself, explain procedure, check safety, etc...

I am so anxious before I practice them I blank out. I am so fearful I will mess up in practice that I get incredibly anxious, my heart beats out of my chest, and I lose my train of thought. I am sure after I practice the skills more I will calm down and get more comfortable with the techniques. At least I hope that I do.

Called to Complain!

Natilynn has recovered front he dreaded blood drawing experience! She may have an allergic reaction to latex! I called and complained to the lab we went to. They were going to reprimand the philbotimist and also apologized. They told me if I were to come back to call and they would have there best phlebotomist do the work. They also said that they would pay to get Natilynn checked out to make sure she was ok.

Natilynn took two steps today! Yeah, she is getting so brave!
